New Signature Cocktail Menu: Golden 20s Berlin
Our latest signature cocktail menu is an invitation to experience our Meister Bar in a new light. When most of King’s Cross begins to retire for the evening, the Meister Bar’s grandiose staircase beckons. The high ceilings, views of the buzzing ground floor and distinctive light fixtures set a scene where fedora hats, smoking jackets and flapper dresses feel right at home.
The new menu pays tribute to the spirit of 1920s Berlin, an era where creativity knew no bounds and culture flourished. During this brief respite between wars, hedonistic pursuits thrived in vibrant underground venues.
Each of our six new cocktails is named after a prominent venue. The infamous Haus Vaterland was known as a “palace of pleasure” with many guests emerging days after their arrival. The Moka Efti extravagantly boasted its own barbershop, pastry shop and billiard hall, as well as a room full of typists ready to take dictation for businessmen or journalists.
he KitKat, famous for it’s cabaret performances, to the El Dorado, a popular hangout for the LGBTQ+ community, or the Quasimodo, one of Berlin’s oldest jazz venues which started it’s life as a dance hall in 1927.
Our decadent new menu features warming, wintery flavours, designed to transport you to a more indulgent time. Don your fedora and your full-length gloves and take a seat at our Meister Bar this weekend.
