The impressive building was England’s very first purpose-built gymnasium all the way back in 1865 – for the German Gymnastics Society too – but is now an up-market eatery specialising in German cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant itself breathes grandeur and the food is sehr, sehr gut! There’s also a whole host of delightful German draught beers on tap – Prost!
